Griffin officially started school this year. Although he went to half day Pre-K last year at Trinity Christian Academy, he started full days this year at Frazier Elementary. The funny thing is that I was once a Frazier Bear too! We won't mention how long ago that was. His teacher was Mrs. Jones - she was perfect for him. Just like mom. No nonsense! If you know Griffin, you know that is exactly what he needs. We had a few challenges this year. Besides having a hard time keeping his hands to himself and his mouth shut (not really a surprise given who his parents are. We also discovered that he is dyslexic - no thanks to BISD. Let's just say this is not the same district I grew up in. So many channels and rules. Well in Shandy fashion I wouldn't just stand by and let him fall further and further behind. After private testing and private tutoring that continues to this day, Griffin is catching up slowly, but surely.
